BRIDAL WEAR FOR THE ECO-CONSCIOUS BRIDE!!

Hello my beautiful and wonderful readers.

We have all heard about how our clothes reflect not only our style but also our personality. What if we could go even deeper and create something that reflects our character as well.

People today are more conscious and aware of the environmental impact we have. I feel that the Bridal Industry also needs to join this movement in full force.

Let’s face it, we are not the most sustainable industry especially when it comes to bridal wear. When it comes to the groom, most of them wear their dapper and well fitted suits which they can keep wearing even after. But what about the bride?

The bride spends so much time and money choosing the perfect wedding dress. Something that she has been dreaming of since she got engaged, if not  her entire life. Then she finds it,Voila!!!

This masterpiece of a dress, that is the perfect blend of art, beauty and her style.

But what happens to this masterpiece after the wedding?

Research shows, most of them stay packed away in a cupboard, some may be passed down to another generation, some sold and some of them unfortunately end up in landfills and sadly are not easily biodegradable.

We at Nilisha Bridal are dedicated to solve this issue.

Our garments are not only made from organic, recycled or eco-fabrics but we want to take it a step further and create a sustainable bridal eco-system. And what do we mean by that?

We will be promoting sustainable fashion specially with our range of  Bridal Separates.

We believe that a wedding dress which is most likely one of the most beautiful garment  a bride wears in her lifetime, should have an after life too.

You should be able to wear it in some other occasion with as much grace and beauty.

With our Bridal Separates, you can re-style one look with another and create a whole different look by mixing a few garments. It is like a bridal capsule.

Our garments are made-to-order and can be custom made based on your size, personality and character. This helps us avoid excess production and unnecessary wastage.

In the future, we also plan to extend our services where brides of yesterday will be able to sell their wedding dresses to brides of tomorrow.

So what is your take on sustainable bridal wear? I would say let’s come together and create an army of beautiful and environmentally and ethically conscious brides walking towards a greener and brighter tomorrow.
